PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: Keni is a human reincarnation of a piece of an Elder God, so poking around in their head might not be wise. They aren't aware that this is what they are, and a light skimming of their thoughts and mind won't bring up anything too odd or dangerous (beyond possibly some traumatic memories). But some part of them IS still that being and poking around hard enough might bring up locked off memories or could come with some mental backlash. If you want your character to do this, please contact me first so we can plot things out, and you can let me know what you want your character to get out of it. It is also definitely still possible to mind control them and the like, they are not immune to that. Again, just contact me first.
ELDRITCH HORROR: With Keni being an Eldritch horror, I'm cool with fellow Elder critters, or people who have delt with Eldritch horrors, being able to spot the kid for what they are, or possibly having some kind of influence on Keni. For anything big, I would appreciate getting to plot it out, but when it comes to characters, just knowing/figuring out what Keni is or confronting them about it, go nuts!
MAGICAL INFORMATION: The kid is functionally immortal. They CAN die, it just doesn't stick. They'll always wake back up in their bed the next day as if nothing happened. The only way to permanently kill them is at the hands of another immortal.
They also have some unintentional mind fuckery/universe bending abilities (that won't be available in any games) that Keni is unaware of and has no control over. These usually cause all proof of their deaths to vanish from the world, both physical proof and memories, much to Keni's own frustration.
MEDICAL INFORMATION: Physically, Keni has pretty average health, aside from being slightly malnourished and having an impacted right lateral incisor, which occasionally gives them jaw pain/headaches. Any time they die, their body gets factory reset, which means any damage they accrued before they were killed gets fixed. It also means that anytime they come back from the dead, any piercings or tattoos get erased (they've had to get really good at making their own piercings and stick-and-poke tattoos).
Their deaths do also cause them some mild chronic pain. The more recently they died, the colder they are, the stiffer and more painful their joints feel. It fades the longer they stay alive, but it seems to get worse with every death.
They also have quite a few mental issues. ADHD, selective mutism, C-PTSD, depression, and addiction issues.

Keni comes from the 'poor area" of an already economically struggling, isolated, rural town in the modern-day United States. It's a small place surrounded mostly by woods and farmlands. At first glance, it's rather unassuming, but there's always been something off about the place and the people in it. They're polite, but very insular. "Undesirables" that most people won't miss have a tendency to "leave town". The local pond is deeper than it should be; at times, it seems almost bottomless. Previously tame animals have turned dangerous. The people in town can turn oddly aggressive or chaotic out of nowhere. There've been odd things spotted in the woods. And there's a cult set up just outside of the town, dedicated to worshiping "Old Gods". The rest of the town claims they are eccentric but harmless. Most of the town either attempts to ignore these things when it's possible or easily "forgets" about them. But somehow, Keni and their friends often seem to end up at the center of the weirdness.
A year ago, Keni discovered that their parents had briefly been a part of the local cult, and the two let the cult do a ritual on Keni when their mother was still pregnant with them. Seemingly, what it did, was curse the kid to constantly die in horrific ways and then wake up again the next day as if nothing happened.
They've lived alone with the curse their whole life, since no one ever remembers or believes them when they try to tell people about it. And they certainly have tried. Their parents refuse to hear it anymore, and their friends can't even seem to remember the other times they told them about it. The kid has pretty much given up trying at this point, aside from the occasional morbid joke about it.
They've been trying to find out more about the curse on their own, particularly how to end it, but they've mostly just hit brick walls. Their parents supposedly remember next to nothing about their time with the cult. The few members of the cult Keni tracked down either seemingly knew as little as their parents, or have refused to give a straightforward answer. What little they learned was that the ritual was meant to bring an Elder God into their world, but something went wrong; the cult supposedly considers Keni a botched experiment. Though at least one member still seems intrigued by the groups "little fuck up", though she wasn't too interested in giving a reason why, or giving up much else in the way of answers. Except for one thing. The only way to really kill an immortal is at the hands of another immortal.
With seemingly no way to stop the curse (beyond seeking out a permadeath), Keni's come to the decision that they can at least try to use it to do some good. And the world has given them quite a lot of opportunities to put those good intentions to the test.
Around their friends, Keni comes off as a quiet, chill kid with bad impulse control and a crude/childish sense of humor. But at home, they've had to step up and start taking on more adult responsibilities since age 10. It probably doesn't come as a surprise that their parents aren't exactly great caregivers. The two are neglectful, abusive toward each other and Keni's older brother, Shane (who emancipated himself two years ago), and its forced Keni to be "the responsible one". They are their little sister's main caregiver, and are often stuck parenting their own parents, when not just avoiding them. The only time they really get to be a kid is around their friends, and even with them, things have been getting more and more strained.
